Always avoid contact with chemicals‚ such as pool and sea water‚ hair spray and perfume‚ lotions‚ household cleansers‚ even hard water. You can help avoid these things by not swimming with your jewellery pieces on and by putting your jewellery on last when getting ready to go out somewhere.
Wipe your jewellery pieces with a soft‚ clean cloth after wearing to help remove natural body oils and/or sweat residue.
Gold and silver dipping will also eventually tarnish or discolor if left out in the open air. Because of this you should store your jewellery pieces in a jewellery box or jewellery case with the lid closed. This helps reduce the amount of tarnish.
Irish Linen
Irish linen is not intended to get wet. Its true nemesis is water which can make it fade and age before its time. Your irish linen will remain strong‚ beautiful and colorful if kept dry. Treat it like the dainty treasure it is.
